Lahore :A delegation of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by the President of Lahore Chamber of commerce and industry Mian Nauman Kabir called on Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman at Governor House Lahore today. The delegation included Senior Vice President Mian Rehman Aziz Chan and Vice President Haris Atiq and other members. During the meeting, the problems faced by the chamber and measures to increase exports were discussed.
Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman said that the business community is playing an important role in the national economy and business activities provide employment opportunities to millions of people. He said that the PML-N government has always the solved the problems of traders on priority basis. Governor Punjab said that the business community is contributing to the country’s economy by paying taxes. He further said that business activities bring prosperity in the country . He further said that political stability is very important for economic development in the country. He emphasized that continuity of economic policies is very important.
Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman said that the PML-N government has always worked for the welfare of the people. He said that during the previous tenure of PML-N, there was progress in all sectors including education and health. He said that Muslim League-N installed power plants to solve the problem of power shortfall during the previous tenure. He said that the government is ensuring all possible resources to set the country’s economy on the right track.
President Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mian Nauman Kabir said that we should work on exporting products apart from traditional exports. He said that there is a need to increase trade and exports with ASEAN and African countries.
