USAID Endorses “Subh-e-Nau” Project for Community Empowerment

LAHORE/MULTAN:The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has endorsed the launch of the “Subh-e-Nau” initiative by the Lodhran Pilot Project (LPP) in collaboration with Signify Consulting, Pelican Development Organization (PDO), Centre for Public Policy and Governance (CPPG), and Chanan Development Association (CDA). At a marquee event, U.S. Consul General Christine Hawkins was present, while USAID Mission Director Kate Sowongsiri praised LPP and its partners, calling the project a “crucial step” toward grassroots empowerment.

Ajmal Chandia, MPA and Parliamentary Secretary for Education, highlighted the importance of the program, noting its relevance to contemporary societal needs and voicing support for initiatives that make a positive impact.

Dr. Abdul Saboor, CEO of LPP, shared that the Subh-e-Nau program will work towards uplifting underserved communities, enhancing their stability and resilience. By fostering local engagement, USAID aims to support Pakistani communities in shaping a sustainable future.

Zain Baloch, CEO of Signify Consulting, echoed this commitment, emphasizing USAID and the consortium’s dedication to aligning development with local goals. The event, attended by notable social, political, and religious leaders from Multan, Bahawalpur, and Lodhran, also featured a panel discussion and cultural performances, engaging a broad spectrum of the community.
