Multan:The Additional Chief Secretary South Punjab Capt.(Retd) Saqib Zafar visited under construction project of Civil Secretariat South Punjab and GOR, saw different parts of the building and reviewed the construction quality.He directed the authorities to accelerate pace of work on the project and said that the project be completed by December 2023 in any case. He said the landscaping plan of the secretariat be prepared according to the design and no compromise be made on the construction quality of the building. Capt.(Retd) Saqib Zafar said to ensure the provision of all necessary facilities to the citizens visiting secretariat. Additional Chief Secretary South Punjab said that the construction of the South Punjab Secretariat Complex will speed up the resolution of people’s problems. The officials of Infrastructure Development Authority Punjab(IDAP), while giving a briefing, said that the South Punjab Secretariat is being constructed on 504 kanals of land. The South Punjab Secretariat will be handed over to the government fully furnished.The office of Chief Minister will be established on first floor whicle offices of Chief Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary will be established on the second floor. Offices of eight departments are also being established in the Secretariat. It was informed in the briefing that the work on the construction of the ground and first floor of the building is going on rapidly. Spacious lawn and parking facilities will be available in the secretariat.It was also informed in the briefing that construction work is ongoing on eigt residences in GOR including residence of Additional Chief Secretary and Additional IGP South punjab.
