High level flood in Muzaffargarh

Muzaffargarh (The South Press) In Muzaffargarh, the land of five rivers, several places have been affected due to the rise in the water level in the rivers Chenab, Ravi and Sindh, gardens and crops have been severely affected. Ka Raila is passing through Muzaffargarh, due to the already 100,000 cuft of water in the river, the water level has increased to 400,000 cuft and the river is in high flood level.The administration has vacated 104 villages including Rangpur, Khudai, Langarsrai, Alipur North, Moradabad, Khanpur, Doaba, Sanki, Thatta Qureshi, Khangarh, Rohilanwali, Jatoi, Shahr Sultan from Rangpur to Head Panjand.And the residents have been shifted to safe places along with their property and cattle, the administration has also set up 33 flood relief camps in the flood affected areas where the teams of Finance Department, Health Department, Livestock Department, Rescue 1122 24 hours available to help flood victims.According to the district administration, in the affected areas, 7800 acres of land are under water, while 5091 acres of standing crops and mango gardens have been severely affected.According to sources of irrigation authority, the inflow of water in Indus river has exceeded 3 lakh cusecs at Taunsa barrage in Tehsil Kot Adu of Muzaffargarh and there is a moderate flood situation in the river.As a result, dozens of low-lying areas of Bat, including Bet Nishanwala, Bet Chhajdewala, Bet Khadimwala, have been flooded.
